The tradition of bathing the bridal well at the kanoman palace was originally only carried out by the children and grandchildren of the family in the kanoman palace itself as a karomat ritual. However, over time, finally many people believe in the efficacy of bathing in the bridal well of the canoman palace. Some people in Cirebon themselves consider the tradition of bathing in the Penganten well itself as local wisdom and a tradition that has become a habit.

The establishment of the bridal well of the Kanoman Palace was originally established by Prince Cakrabuwana or better known as Prince Wadirectlysang as a sign that separated the beach from the mainland in the 14th century. The manufacturing process itself is said to be made by hand, and the shape itself is like an ordinary well, but filled or decorated with south coast rocks.

The water from the bride’s well itself looks butty or cloudy. However, the water turns clear and fragrant depending on the heart of the person using it.

The myth of the bridal well itself that most people believe in makes it easier for people to get a mate if the person bathes using water from the well, facilitates wedding receptions, cleans negative energy when you want to hold a wedding, and can even treat mystical things such as witchcraft.
