History
Banyu Panas Palimanan is a tourist spot that emerged due to an accident starting in 2008 when PT Indosemen carried out drilling activities for clean water in that place. However, the water spray that came out was not as clean as expected from the start. Unexpectedly, what came out was actually a burst of blue-hot water. People and the factory thought that was a spray of clean water for local people, but hot water with a bluish color gushed out. That’s why the place has become a tourist attraction. What’s interesting about this tourist spot is the hot water pool for visitors who have skin diseases. This is based on the public belief that the Banyu Panas Palimanan is able to relieve skin diseases because of the content of the hot water in the pool. Of course it is very safe here because there is always a warning that goes off every 10 minutes. Not just arranging a 10 x 15 m hot water pool for therapy, but the management is arranging the area as well as possible.
Location and Price
The Banyu Panas Palimanan location is located approximately 29 km from Cirebon City, West Java. Banyu Panas Gempol Palimanan Cirebon is in the same area as the Indocement factory in Palembang. As the name suggests, this hot spring pool is located in Palimanan village. Tourists who want to visit this location can use public transportation such as buses or trains or private vehicles. Banyu Panas Palimanan has two types of pools for soaking in hot water. The first type of pool is a pool that is fed by river water. Tourists who choose to soak in this pool must pay IDR 10,000 for weekdays and IDR 15,000 for weekends and must not soak for more than 15 minutes, due to the temperature of the water. The heat is quite high, reaching 60 degrees Celsius. Apart from the hot-water swimming pool, this place also has a private or closed type of swimming pool for adults and children.

One of the most popular selfie spots is the steps where river water flows from one step to another. There is no need to worry about the facilities available at Banyu Panas Palimanan. The management provides a jogging track, a gazebo, a first aid room, and a play area for children. Apart from that, there are also prayer rooms, toilets, bathrooms, and a large vehicle parking area.
