Kejawanan Beach, A wonderful Sunset in Cirebon

Kejawanan Beach is one of the marine tourism destinations in Cirebon.  The beach is located in the Cirebon City area, more exactly in Kejawanan village, only about 5 kilometers from the center of Cirebon City. Formerly, this beach was only allocated as a harbor and fish auction place by the surrounding fishermen. Many people come to visit this Beach to see the beauty of the sunset. In 2020 Kejawanan Beach was officially launched as a tourist attraction.

A pleasant beach

This beach is perfect if you go with your family. There are many activities and interesting spots in here. The sloping topography of this beach is part of the Cirebon Bay and the wind is not too big, making the waves calm. It is ideal for swimming, sunbathing, or just playing in the water. The affordable entrance ticket price is also one of the attractions.

Getting to Kejawanan Beach

Kejawanan Beach can be reached by road. You can use private vehicles such as motorbikes or cars or public transportation. If you use a private vehicle you can choose a route from the West Cirebon or East Cirebon route. The following is the route from the direction of West Cirebon and East Cirebon:

West Cirebon route

You can turn Google Maps towards Yos Sudarso Street. Then, after passing Kalijaga Bridge, turn left towards Jalan Yos Sudarso Tmur. After that, continue to follow the road until you meet Kejawanan Street. Then, enter the Kejawanan Harbor area, continue to follow the road until you reach Kejawanan Beach.

East Cirebon route

The route from the East Cirebon is not much different from the route from the West Cirebon direction. The only difference is when you pass Kalijaga Street, turn right towards Jalan Yos Sudarso Timur. Then, follow the road until you reach Kejawanan Street and then enter the harbor area to the beach.

Things to do at Kejawanan Beach

There are so many activities that you can be enjoy while you’re in here. If you decide to visit in the morning you can watch the sunrise with beautiful position, right in the middle of the beach. Until noon you can enjoy the water destinations here, such as boat tours, mangrove tours or swimming. You can enjoy the beach with fresh breeze by traveling around using a motorboat owned by local fishermen. The price offered is quite cheap, only around Rp 10000 – Rp 25000 per person you can reach the entire beach. Or if you want to enjoy some relaxing water games, you can rent some rubber boats. You only need to spend Rp 5000- Rp 15000/hour. No need to worry about falling into the water, because during the rental you will be accompanied by a safety guide.

In the afternoon, you can enjoy the sunset in here. The most interesting spot to watch the sunset is near the harbor pier. The docks are not far from the shoreline, you only need to walk 200 meters from the shoreline. The dock is the spot most visited by tourists for sunset hunting. The sunset and rows of ships with various unique and beautiful shapes make for interesting photo spots, perfect for updating your Instagram feeds. After a busy day, you can enjoy a seafood dinner with a view of the sea.
