1. Vihara

Pekalipan village has one Buddhist temple, Vihara Pemancar Keselamatan. This is at Winaon Road number 26/69, Pekalipan Village, Pekalipan District, Cirebon City, West Java. Especially this temple near Kanoman Market

2. Kraton Kanoman Mosque

Pekalipan has a historical mosque, Kraton Kanoman mosque. This place is at Kanoman Road, Pekalipan Village, Pekalipan District, Cirebon City, West Java.

3. Tomb of Syech Maulana Maghribi

Because Cirebon has a lot of religious history, Pekalipan village also has the tomb of Syech Maulana Maghribi. He is one of the popular Islamic missionaries in Java. The tomb is located at Astanagarib Road.

One of the residents of Pekalipan village, Mr. Nur, mentioned that Pekalipan has a cultural heritage, as explained above. “Pekalipan has a monastery, usually for prayers and Buddhist events.” Mr. Nur also explained about the Great Mosque of Kanoman, where he said, “Here there is also the Great Mosque of Kanoman and the historic site of Syech Maulana Maghribi. People go there to worship in the mosque and make a pilgrimage to the Tomb of Syech Maulana Maghribi”.

In addition to cultural heritage places, Mr. Nur mentioned that Pekalipan has culinary tourist attractions, including Pekalipan Road and Pekiringan Road. “There is a night market on Pekiringan Road and Pekalipan Road, especially when grocery stores are closed. There is also one culinary legend, namely Soto Babad Mr. Maman on Pekiringan Road”. Mr. Nur explained again that Pekalipan is the center of the cellphone sales store, accessories, and cellphone services. “There are also crowded places here, namely the streets of Petratean; there are cellphone shops there, and many people from Cirebon and outside Cirebon also come and buy cellphones, cellphone accessories, or service there.”

Everything is usually done when expressing gratitude. Cap-Gomeh is a traditional celebration held 15 days after the Chinese New Year celebration, and in Pekalipan, there are representatives from the monastery Pemancar Keselamatan. The tradition of Bubur Suro also still exists, coinciding with the anniversary of Cirebon City. Usually, people make Suro porridge and distribute it to residents. There is also a tradition related to the Mount Jati area, namely Grebeg Syawal, but in Pekalipan, it carries out a 6-day fast starting from day 2 of Eid al-Fitr”.

From this explanation, Mr. Nur also mentioned and regretted that the traditions that existed from ancient times began to be marginalized. “Yes, the tradition of rich Nujuh Bulan, Bubur Suro, and Syawal fasting is rarely carried out; some people still do it. The tradition is a little more than it was in the past. The hope is that it must be preserved again so the tradition still exists.”
