Cirebon historical tourism 
Koernady Chalzoum, a student at IAIN Sunan Gunung Djati Cirebon, brought Teater Awal to its inaugural stage with his work “Kata-Kata” in 1992. Since the establishment on November 9, 1992, he began his creative journey. This work became their debut and received great appreciation from the academic community.
The Journey of Teater Awal.
At that time, Teater Awal began its journey in the world of performing arts. Members’ passion, solidarity, and theater management experience built its theater world. The abundance of ideas sourced from the folk performing arts has always been timelessly inspiring. They have produced 70 theater productions to date.
Koernady and his colleagues chose the name Teater Awal due to their deep emotional and positional attachment to it. They received overwhelming support from members of Teater Awal IAIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung during its initial formation phase. They maintained the identity to demonstrate the continuity of tradition and the emergence of theater groups on other campuses. This shows their significant influence and contribution to the world of educational theater.

Teater Awal Cirebon not only expresses artistic ideas through performing arts, but also sheds its art in various forms. Moreover, the early theater art studio has a platform for talents and interests such as acting, dance and music.
Through their mosaic, which contains a variety of biographical writings that raise various topics. Some of them are figures who play a role in the world of theater and religious figures and philosophy. It also reviews the culture of Cirebon in the context of performing arts and its historical places. There are also several short stories and plays by members of the art studio.
