Cirebon government inaugurates Trans Cirebon BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) in July 2023 in a purpose to reduce the traffic jams. This inauguration was led by the governor, Ridwan Kamil, and the mayor of Cirebon . As in trial period of this bus launch, the manager provides free rides to the public. After July 23, 2023, the fee is IDR 5000 for adults and IDR 3500 for students. The buses design color is blue with Batik Megamendung as the icon of Cirebon.
With this transportation bus, there is a hope that people can make good use of it. For people that wants to try, there are 5 bus stops and 30 bus stops spread out. The duration of bus arrival is 40 minutes. BRT Trans Cirebon covers a distance of 30 kilometers from the south of Cirebon City to the center of the city. This bus will certainly not intersect with existing angkot in Cirebon.
This bus will started get off at 6 AM until 6 PM from Harjamukti Bus Station then pass Ahmad Yani street, Kanggraksan, Jenderal Sudirman street, and Angkasa Raya.
