Kasepuhan Keraton Museum has historical heirlooms. The heirlooms are relics of the kings of Cirebon from period Time. One of the heirlooms that are still in the Keraton Kasepuhan Museum is Singa Barong Carriage. This heirloom is a vehicle use by the Sultans of Cirebon. The Singa Barong Carriage is usually release. it during the 1 Muharram carnival and the Sultan’s inauguration. The name Singa Barong comes from the word Singarani which means give a name and Barong means together So, Singa Barong at least means to give a name together.

The Singa Barong was made in the 15th century. The architect was Panembahan Losari and the carver was Ki Nata Guna. Laban wood use the base of this Carriage . This use the paint from gold powder and also diamonds to color this Carriage. The Singa Barong Chariot has 4 wheels. Consisting of 2 front wheels that are smaller than the wheels at the back which can rotate 90 degrees.

Apart from that, the Singa Barong Carriage is also decorate with carvings depicting several parts of the animal’s body . There are The dragon’s head is a symbol of Chinese. and then The elephant’s trunk is a symbol of the Hindu. There is State in India. That was Story before the entry of Islam into Java. The land of Cirebon was controlled by Hindu. The wings and body of the buroq symbolize the state of Egypt. And also on the dragon’s trunk there is a trident.This trident symbolises the taste, creation, and human spirit.
UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.) As an educational and cultural organisation of the United. The Nations has designated the Singa Barong carriage as one of the beautiful and unique carriages in the world.
