Tradisi Mudun Lemah is a birth cycle tradition. This tradition takes place when the child reaches seven months of age. The intention is to introduce the child to the first time they step on land or earth. Mudun Lemah is a ritual that takes place after the child is seven months old. According to the Javanese, a seven-month-old child should hold a thanksgiving when it first sets foot on the ground. In addition, mudun lemah is also to honor the earth where humans live and live their lives.
Tradisi Mudun Lemah also aims to repel reinforcements and avoid negative impacts. Literally, mudun comes from Javanese which means to go down, and Lemah means land or earth.
